Actor: Katie tries to shed her identical twin skin, establishing her individuality, and seemingly trampling on her sister as she does so. She has a footballer boyfriend, and so refers to herself as a WAG, but stresses that she is not the stereotypical “blonde, tanned, stupid” WAG. She seems shaken by her sister Emily’s homosexuality, but she really does care for her and eventually accepts it. She enters into a sexual relationship with Freddie after dumping her footballer boyfriend, but later ends it when she has realised there is nothing she can do to keep Freddie from liking Effy more than her. Katie is actually very insecure and afraid of being alone; she tries to cover this up by acting nasty towards everyone and attempting to control every aspect of her sister’s life.
